DALLAS, TEXAS - Dallas is Love, a nonprofit organization proudly supporting members of the Armed Forces, was recently blessed with a huge donation from Nancy C. and Richard R. Rogers.
“The donation amount exceeds anything that we have ever received since inception back in 2005,” said Linda Foster, mother of the teens, Patrick and Tania, who started the non-profit organization to help servicemembers. “We are all very grateful for this generous contribution.”
Dallas is Love will send Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and Landsthul Medical Center in Germany $10,000 each in Army and Air Force Exchange Service gift cards to support wounded warriors at the hospitals.
“Also, we have decided to send "Project Moldova" $2,000 to aid the orphans in Moldova,” said Foster. Project Moldova is also a 501(c)3 tax exempt charity, which provides vocational and artistic training programs to children in orphanage boarding schools in the Republic of Moldova. “Supporting this other non-profit is still within our mission because the organization was started by a soldier. So, we’re really helping soldiers help others,” continued Foster.
“Thank you all so much for all you do. This would have not been possible if not for Mr. & Mrs. Rogers.”
Dallas is Love is a 501c-3 non-profit organization that raises money to send AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service) gift certificates to United States military troops stationed worldwide. Dallas is Love was created by Tania and Patrick Foster in 2005 in order to show soldiers that they are not forgotten for their selfless efforts to protect the freedom of this country. The men and women of the United States military are so willing to sacrifice everything to serve our country in many remote outposts so we may enjoy the freedom that we are blessed with. We, the people of America, appreciate them for all their efforts and sacrifices they make everyday. Dallas is Love’s goal is to ensure that those who preserve the freedoms we hold dear are not forgotten by those who benefit from their hard work and dedication.
Editor’s note: Dallas is Love was founded in 2005 when Tania Foster was a sophomore in high school and Patrick Henry was in eighth grade. As of 2010 Tania Foster is a junior in college and Patrick Foster is a freshman in college.
