Nevada Man Donates Money, Gifts |

WASHINGTON, July 8, 2005 -
With his family in tow, Phil Randazzo came here over the Fourth of July weekend to pay respect to wounded servicemembers and to hand out a few tokens of his appreciation. Along with his wife and three children, Randazzo visited Walter Reed Army Medical Center here and donated 13 mini DVD players and 50 DVDs to the institution so that wounded troops can enjoy a variety of movies and television programs during their recovery, Randazzo said.

There were tears, but there was also cheering and even smiles, as thousands of people turned out to
take part in "Operation Holiday Cheer," a rally in support of troops and their families, held in Las Vegas,
Nev., Dec. 11. In the crowd were family members of troops killed in the war on terror, as well as
families of those deployed in support of the war.

Phil Randazzo is standing outside the Heinrich Family YMCA in Las Vegas as the sun sets over the Nevada desert. Behind him, an entire side of the YMCA building is covered by a huge American Flag. A cameraman is shining a harsh white light on him, as a local television reporter attempts to hook a microphone to his collar. For Randazzo, the man responsible for organizing "Operation Holiday Cheer," this will be the second television interview in less than 20 minutes.

Foundation to Hold Rally for Troops, Families in Las Vegas |

LAS VEGAS, Dec. 1, 2004 -
The Nevada Benefits Foundation and the YMCA are holding a holiday rally to support service members and their families in Las Vagas on Dec. 11. All military families, reservists, veterans and citizens who would like to show their support for our troops are being invited to the event. The rally is being held in honor of America's fallen heroes, as well as those families with active duty or reservist members who may be spending the holiday season without their loved ones. Each family will receive a holiday gift package containing a variety of goods and services they may need throughout this holiday season.
