Military Youth Chronicles Blue Star Museum Visit
|
Charleston, Jul. 28, 2010 - Living in Washington DC has taught me many lessons, one of them being that during the summer months, after a day of sweating through outdoor monuments and various exhibits looking for a place to escape the heat, an air-conditioned museum is your best friend. And now, thanks to the Blue Star Museums Initiative that opens up over 850 museums nationwide to military families between Memorial Day and Labor Day, there is no cost involved. In my opinion, this program, by Blue Star Families and the National Endowment for the Arts, is one of the greatest things to come along for military families in a long time.
